Jerol Nex was a human male who lived on Tatooine and served as a member of the Citizens' Militia during the Cold War. Shortly before the end of the Cold War he was stationed at Camp Karnori which was under constant attacks from local Sand People tribes. As a group of elite Republic operatives passed by the camp, fellow militiaman Dak Williks asked them to help with dead and wounded from the lastest attack. Nex asked them to attack nearby Sand People compound instead, hoping that this would reduce the number of their attacks. The operatives agreed, greatly reducing the presence and aggressiveness of the Sand People.
